We walk out of our house each day with a pair of socks and a pair of shoes. We buy new shoes not because the old ones are dirty or torn out, but just because we we want more. However, all over this world, there are children who walk around without shoes completely. They get cuts and blister from rocks on the ground. That is the reason why I started up the TOMS Campus Club at Greenriver Community College (GRCC). I want to raise awareness that there are still kids out there who need our support. I believe I can do more than just pressing the button “like” on pictures. I wanted to be involved and “start something that matters”.

The TOMS Campus Programs Team is continually inspired by our student supporters. We are happy to share the story of Share-a-Pair, a TOMS Giving partner, which was started by three young ladies. We hope that you enjoy their story and are motivated to make a difference in your own community as well.

During the 2006-07 school year, our family lived in Armenia, and we were exposed to the poverty that overwhelmed the country. Once we began high school, we knew that we were old enough to make a small difference in the lives of Armenia’s children.
